In The Power of One: Mastering a Single Light Source, you'll learn how to craft striking, professional portraits using just one light. This hands-on, in-person workshop is designed for photographers who want to maximize creativity, simplify lighting setups, and gain total confidence in controlling light—no matter the gear.

Led by award-winning photographer Yancy Villatoro, this workshop covers:

• Creating depth and drama using just one light

• Working with various light modifiers to produce completely different looks

• Posing techniques that complement directional lighting

• Shooting with intention and simplicity—even in small spaces

• Achieving editorial, soft, and moody styles from one setup

• INCLUDED: 

  • Snacks, refreshments and lunch will be provided 

  • Hands on shooting

  • All images you take may be used in your portfolio (No to be use for commercial purposes)

Attendees will also receive a take-home PDF with lighting diagrams and setups, so you can confidently recreate what you learn in your own studio.
